Open Source

Probably lots of you are familiar with open source software. Lots of us probably use open source software – Firefox, Thunderbird etc.  and that got me thinking…

In the Old Testament only the priest could go into the Holy of Holies and meet with God on behalf of the people.  When Jesus died he opened the curtain, which separated us from God, it was torn from top to bottom and our ability to approach God as individuals was instituted by God Himself.

In Ephesians 1 it tells us that we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ, it tells us that are inheritors of His Kingdom, that we are seated with Christ in the heavenly realms. We are now not only able to approach the ‘open source’ of all things, we are co-heirs of it, Sons and daughters of the King.

We have a fountain that never runs dry, a river that flows from the throne of God, and unending access to the King himself – today lets fire up our connection and link in to the open source.
